Avery is a ceramicist from Southern California, who moved to Seattle in 2021. Her teaching journey began in 2020 when she helped out at children’s summer clay camps. Avery now specializes at teaching adults on the potter’s wheel. She loves to work with dark clays to make functional pieces, dinnerware sets, and hand-built vases. She loves a good runny and dimensional glaze, and adding texture on her thrown forms. Outside of her work with clay, Avery loves to spend time studying mycology, hunting mushrooms, cooking with friends, working in the wine world, and playing with her two cats, Porcini and Morchella.
