a new, bi-monthly offering led by natalie!

this is casual, member led workshop with just a few guidelines to keep you guys on track each month:

• see an idea you’d love to try on social media (or otherwise)?

• grab a link, screenshot and artist account handle (so we can give them credit), and post it to the member workshop slack channel

• check the channel for new ideas and vote for the ones you want to try if there are multiple

• show up,support the member whose idea receives the most votes, and play around with your fellow members!

ASOS is a BYOS* monthly member lead event and not a formal class or educational workshop. just a great excuse to come gather and play around with your fellow potters!

if you're not interested in jumping on slack, you can send any ideas, projects, or techniques that you see out in the world them our way via email or instagram!

come underglaze in the loft with the resident tiny brush queen, liz!

members should bring: 

• 1-3 pieces of fully dry greenware or bisqued 

• a good attitude

liz also suggests bringing:

• a smartphone

• an idea of what they want to paint

• paint brushes

• underglazes (if they have ones they like that aren't provided by the studio)

liz will break you guys up into 3 groups (see below) and walk each group through their focus of choice, making this offering great for truly all skill levels.

group 1 - *easy ideas* 

for folks who have little to no underglaze experience, feel like they aren't good at "drawing", just starting out. will focus more on design placement and tips on creating consistency

examples: simple shapes, repeating patterns 

group 2 - *intermediate ideas*

folks who are familiar with underglaze or feel confident in their drawing skills but need some more direction when it comes to "upping" their underglaze art. will focus on composition, adding dimension, some color blocking

examples: simple animal drawings, flora/fauna 

group 3 - *advanced idea*

for those who are looking to tackle something more challenging artistic wise and want pointers on refining pieces through small detail work, color blocking, and shading/light sorces

examples: specific painting styles (ie realism, watercolor, impressionist), fine line work

Have you wanted a cool stamp to finish your handmade wares that is 100% individual to you?  Come and learn how to make one or a few makers marks with fellow member Natalie. 


All you need a needle tool for a basic stamp but bring your other carving tools if you want to get fancy!  A very smooth clay body will be supplied for your first 2 stamps.

our first member led workshop! come hang with veronica and decorate some wacky bowls together up in the loft. keep in mind these are just informal community events, not educational workshops. bring your own bowl and materials!  the studio will provide some of these.
