- how to create single-part molds using plaster or suitable materials.
- various types of molds, from press molds to mother molds.
- how to best select and prepare an original ceramic piece for molding.
- slip casting techniques
- de-molding your creations with care
- cleaning, trimming, and surface treatments on your de-molded pieces
No prior experience is necessary – this class welcomes all enthusiastic potters looking to expand their creative horizons. That said, this class is highly focused. If you’re looking for a more social offering, consider a wheel or hand building class!
